Mental Health Innovation

A breast cancer diagnosis and the journey that follows can yield a range of emotions, including anxiety and depression. Emotional well-being is directly related to mental health, which is a matter often overshadowed by the physical welfare of a patient. Establishing control of your mental health begins by embracing the fact that you are more than your cancer. Indeed, you deserve to mourn your losses but you must also search for ways to feel good inside and out. From counseling to prescription medication to meditation and relaxation techniques, there are a diverse range of ways to work on improving your mental health. Of course, staying positive is not a realistic expectation. You will experience days where worries and fears can overwhelm you, but that is normal. Our Mental Health Innovation program aims to guide patients and survivors in managing and taking ownership of their mental and emotional prosperity. Take care of your mind, body, and soul – you deserve it!
